General
Estimar S.A. is the biggest supplier in Uruguay with a market share of about 50 % and supplies bunkers in Montevideo and
offshore in the Service, Alpha and Delta Zone depending on vessels draft. The supply is conducted with three well maintained
double hull bunker tankers all classed in Lloyds Register. Estimar is based in Montevideo, where also the ANCAP state oil
refinery is situated and where all the products are lifted. The products meet ISO:2005 specifications. All grades of fuel,
as well as marine diesel and gasoil is available.
Why bunker offshore Montevideo:
- The short distance from the ANCAP refinery to the Service Zone enables Estimar to arrange deliveries at short notice.
- Although situated further out in the River Plate estuary, the Alpha Zone is less prone to delays due to unfavourable weather conditions than Zona Comun.
- Better logistics with three double hull bunker tankers classed in the Lloyds Register with experienced and dedicated crews, resulting in quick turnarounds.
- Only one refinery where all products are tested before being released.

Agency:
When vessels are coming from Argentina they do need to appoint an agent in Montevideo. Estimar SA will quote reduced agency
costs for bunkers only calls in order to achieve the best economical result for it's clients.
